Congratulations to the men's swim and dive team for winning their fifth-consecutive Liberty Conference Championship last night at Yorktown Aquatic Center. The Warhawks were led by wins in the 200 medley relay, 200 IM, 100 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay, 100 backstroke, and diving. No other team could match the depth, talent and intensity that we brought to the meet this week. Your hard work and preparation all season certainly paid off!
Congratulations also to the ladies for several strong swims this weekend. Most swimmers improved on their times from this season. The ladies did earn a state cut in the 400 freestyle relay as well as the 100 IM and 100 freestyle events. The future definitely looks bright with so many young women taking leading roles on the team.
Next opponent: The Northern Region championship meet runs throughout the week beginning with men's diving on Wednesday night at Oak Marr (diving starts at 5:30). Women's prelims are on Thursday with the men swimming on Friday night (both nights starting at 5:30). The Region finals will occur on Saturday night. Come out and support your teammates as they compete against some of the best swimmers and divers in the state.
