Both the men's and women's teams defeated Yorktown last night. The men won their meet by a score of 178-137 while the women defeated the Patriots by score 185-130. The men are now 5-2 while the women are a perfect 6-0. The women's victory is even more significant because they defeated the defending Liberty Conference champions.
Both teams continued to show significant top-end strength, with the men winning 9 out of 12 events and the women winning all 12! Several swimmers won two events, including Jack Galbraith (100 fly and 100 back), Madeline LaPorte (200 free and 100 fly), and Anna Keating (200 IM and 100 breast).
Next opponent: Next week the team celebrates senior night as they face-off against McLean at 8:30 at Oak Marr.
