Chantilly Results

Congratulations to both the men's and women's teams for hard-fought victories tonight over a very competitive Chantilly team. The men's team won by a score 199-116 while the women pulled out a close victory by the score of 160-153.

The men's team mixed strong top-end talent with a deep line-up to win 10 out of 12 events. The 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relays earned their state cuts. Kyle Wu earned state cuts in both the 100 breaststroke and 50 freestyle, while Patrick Kuhlkin earned a state cut in the 200 IM. Sam Duncan and Owen Murphy earned region cuts as well.

On the women's side, the team was lead by a sweep of the dive competition. Maddie Grosz, Elsa Marsden, and Julianne Feuchter led the way by earning their region cuts. The team won 6 of the 12 events, with Darby Galbraith winning both the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly events. Alexandra Dicks won the 100 freestyle, while Maggie Shi took the 200 IM. State cuts were earned by the 200 medley relay, as well as by Maggie Shi in the 200 IM, Darby Galbraith in 100 backstroke, and Alexandra Dicks in the 50 freestyle.

Next opponent: Madison takes on Robinson next week in an 8:30 meet at Audrey Moore.
