Both the men's and women's teams ended 2019 on winning notes last night against the Chantilly Chargers. The late start might have delayed winter break, but it didn't slow down the Warhawks.
The men defeated Chantilly by a score of 172 to 143. The men won 9 events last night, including individual wins by Owen Dyson (50 free and 100 free), Brayden Philpott (200 IM and 500 free), Jacob Roth (100 back) and Jackson Miller (100 fly). The team also took first in each of the 3 relay events.
Not only were the men winning events, but they were also busy earning state and region cuts. Owen Dyson earned his state cut in the 50 free and a region cut in the 100 free. Hunter Moss dove his way to a region cut as well. Both the 200 medley and 200 free relays are also guaranteed their spots at regions.
The women's team also returned to their winning ways by a score of 195 to 120. The ladies dominated throughout the meet, winning 9 events as well.
