Districts Results
Congratulations to both the men's and women's teams on their performances at this week's Concorde District Championships. Both teams had incredible meets with nearly everyone posting best times, winning events, earning region cuts or all three!
The women won their fourth-consecutive district championship, scoring 92 more points than second-place Oakton. The team's depth was on display all night long, with the women placing at least 3 competitors in the championship heat in 6 events! The 200 medley relay set a new district record on their way to an automatic All-American time. Alexandra Dicks set new school records in the 50 free and 100 backstroke, along with a new district record in the 50. Automatic All-American times were also posted by Anna Keating (100 breast) and Alexandra Dicks (50 free).
The men were runners-up for the second consecutive year. This year's achievement is all the more impressive given how many freshmen and sophomores played pivotal roles in the team's success. Individual champions included Owen Dyson (50 free and 100 free) and Sam Duncan (dive). The men also posted a state-qualifying time in the 200 free relay for the first time this season.
Next opponent: The team gets a week off before returning to the pool Valentines Day weekend for the Northern Region meet.
