Chantilly Results

Congratulations to both the men's and women's teams on a successful first meet of the season. It was a real joy to hear the sound of team cheers and see families in the stands. Both teams responded with strong performances throughout the meet.

The women's team won their meet by a score of 201 - 114. The team won 10 out of 12 events, led by individual winners Regan Hau (50 free and 100 breast), Emma Wainwright (100 free and 100 back), Hannah Carmen (500 free), Sophia Brown (200 free) and Lucy Silverstein (diving). The team also won all three relays. Just as exciting were the multiple region- and state-qualifying times that were posted. The medley relay and 400 free relay qualified for regions, while Regan Hau (100 breast), Hannah Carmen (500 free) and Sophia Brown (100 fly) posted region-qualifying times. Regan's and Sophia's times made them state-qualifiers as well.

The men's team lost their meet 190 - 125. Despite the loss, the team posted several strong performances throughout the night. Individual winners included Benham Cobb (200 IM and 100 breast) and Matthew Schlueter (100 back). The medley relay also took first-place to start the meet. The men's team is very young and showed tremendous growth as several athletes posted personal-best times.

Next opponent: The team returns to action next week on both Friday night against Marshall and Saturday against Centreville. Both meets start at 6:00 pm at Oak Marr.
