Marshall and Centreville Results

Congratulations to both the men's and women's teams on a successful weekend! Despite missing several athletes to club meets, both teams were able to come away with victories on both Friday and Saturday nights.

The men's team started the weekend with a convincing win over Marshall by a score of 204-109. The team won 10 out of 12 events on their way to victory. Individual event winners included Owen Dyson (200 IM and 100 fly), Matthew Schlueter (50 free), Colin Crowley (dive), Kevin Rice (500 free), Aaron Diehl (100 back), and Aidan Jones (100 breast). The team also earned a region cut in the 400 free and 200 free relays. 

On Saturday night the Warhawks followed up with a victory over the Centreville Wildcats by a score of 162-153. The team's depth was on display as the men won only 5 of 12 events, led by Owen Dyson (50 free and 100 free) and Kevin Rice (200 IM and 100 breast). Owen Dyson ended the weekend with state cuts in the 200 IM, 50 free and 100 free.

The women's team was equally successful over the weekend. The ladies took down Marshall by a score of 200-114, winning 11 out of 12 events. The team had six different individual winners, including Charlotte Dixon (200 IM and 100 back), Vera Korff (50 free and 100 free), Adira Asner (100 fly), Lucy Silverstein (dive), Sydney Guthrie (500 free) and Becca Berg (100 breast).

The team continued its dominance by defeating Centreville on Saturday night by a score of 188-127. The team on 9 events, including individual wins by Charlotte Dixon (200 free and 100 free), Anabel Huffstutler (200 IM and 100 breast), Vera Korff (50 free), and Megan Mikell (100 back).

Next opponent: The Warhawks return to the pool for a date with the Oakton Cougars next Friday night, starting at 8:30 at Oak Marr
