Both the men's and women's teams gave solid efforts tonight against the Oakton Cougars. The Warhawks carried themselves with grace and dignity and gave their all in every event. While their best efforts were not enough to win the meet the team performed well throughout the line-up. There's no quit in this team so keep your heads-up and walk with pride.
The men's team lost by a score of 205-110. The team was led by Owen Dyson and Kevin Rice, both of whom won two events each. Owen took first place in the 50 free and 100 free, setting personal-best times in both events. Kevin won the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke, posting a region-qualifying in both events.
The women's team lost to Oakton by score of 174-141. Individual-event winners included Charlotte Dixon (200 free and 100 free), Sophia Brown (200 IM and 100 fly), Vera Korff (50 free), Hannah Carmen (500 free and 100 back). Charlotte and Hannah each posted region-qualifying times in their events. Sophia had a region cut in the 200 IM and a state-qualifying time in the 100 fly.
